Halloween Catch Up!

We had a great Halloween this year. Of course we ate lots of creepy food on Saturday 30th and had the family over to share it with us. Of course we made way too much creepy food. So we ate it two days in a row for Family dinner on Halloween.

The kids went trick-or-treating in the rain and didn't seem to mind as much as the adults did. We had a pirate theme for costumes this year. It was Olivia's idea. She wanted us to be a pirate family and for Jorja to be the parrot. It sounded like a good idea to me so we ran with it! I'm pretty proud of Jorja's costume since I cut it all out. Of course my wonderful and amazing mother helped me sew it all together. It turned out stinking cute and she kept very warm. Olivia was a grand pirate and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of being dressed up.

It was lots of fun for us this year at school. Muir Elem still lets the kids dress up and have a Halloween Parade. Yeah for me! Of course the grandma's came with us to watch her parade about. It was so cute to see all the kids in their costumes! I was surprised at how creative and different they all were. Thanks to everyone who made Halloween super special for us all!

Uncle Matras

Uncle Matras was in town for a working week form the 4th to the 11th. He came to get some work done at Mom's cabin since things were slow for him in Portland at the time. Shortly after landing and before he headed up the mountain, Mom spoiled us with lunch at the Red Ginger Bistro on 33rd and State St. It was a very yummy and fun lunch! Jorja was a super star and ate with chopsticks all by herself thanks to the help of some super sweet waitresses! They just loved the kids and spoiled them rotten. It was fun to all be together(minus one, Olivia, she was in school)for the afternoon.

Jorja schmoozed the waitress so much she gave her this cute fan to take home.

Matras and Mom spent the rest of the week at the cabin. Josh, Blake and I went up to Join Matras on Friday to work for the weekend. The cabin had a great turn around in many aspects. The kitchen is brand new with great cabinets and a shiny new counter top. The boys worked hard to re-due the electrical and install the kitchen in one short day. One day we will get that place to way we want it! It was a beautiful weekend up there. Most of the trees had turned and the sun was shining. I do love that spot! Blake took some great pictures of the boys hard work. Will post them when I get my hands on them!

Jorja Porja

This is her favorite to sing that Grandma Launi taught her!

Big Girl!

Jorja has been ready to sleep in a big girl bed for a bit now... but with the move and all we decided not to change everything at once. We finally put her crib down on Wednesday and she is doing great! Olivia informs us that she only got out of bed twice the first night and once the next night. Though, she went right back to bed when Olivia told her to. Now she is sleeping great and so far no problems. I was very concerned about naps, but is hasn't been an issue thank goodness. She is very proud to be sleeping like a big girl.

The sad part is we should have put her bed down about two weeks earlier... because last week she decided to add some personalized art work to her bed. We have a part beaver in the family! She bit all the way around her crib!

Please notice the arm above her head... she is so her fathers daughter!

Had to take a picture of Olivia while I was sneaking in the room! Hee hee! They are cute angels when they sleep.

Liv all snuggled in her blanket on her side... so her mothers daughter!
