Beaker Floppy- Feet

Once again our friendly Family Elf arrived the first week in December. He did arrive a little late due to my unpreparedness.  But,  the girls were super surprised when he did show up that I think it was better to make them wonder a couple days.  I was not as good about taking pictures this December. So, I am missing a lot of what Beaker was up to. Also, the girls got a hold of him a couple times before I could take his picture.
Beaker showed up in the rocking chair under the tree. The rocking chair is normally in front of the fire place and he showed up with the same sparkling snow like last year. Which the girls did notice!

Shortly after Beaker arrived we made our Gingerbread house.  Later on in the season he did bust into the Gingerbread house, breaking off candy and eating it.
This was a cute idea to make a tent and put Beaker in the corner, The kids had been doing this earlier in the day with their cousins. This is a regular event for this corner, the kids have basically claimed it as their own tent site.

It took the girls forever to find beaker here. Hee hee.  This was a present I was trying to finish up for my Sister-in-law and it had been out for a week. So, the kids were used to seeing it.  Beaker just blended so well here!
This is a move after a sledding accident down the stairs on our checker-board sled. Beaker was face planted at the bottom of the stairs, supper funny. The girls did not  think he was safe their.
Beaker, hiding in the Christmas animals. Mommy worked that next night and accidentally forgot to move him when I came home from work. He just REALLY liked hanging out with his friends!

This was a creative idea from Josh. I love it! He knocked over Grandma Launi's baskets and hid in the pot above the stove.

This one the kids thought was "MAGIC"! These are the items that needed fixed.  Jorja's new pillow had hole, my old pink bear needed some attention and Hippy has lost a leg. I have been meaning to fix them for a long while now.  Jorja is constantly making beds out of her blankets on the floor in the front room. To have all the animals fixed and in a bed like she does was fun for her.

Beaker was in a stocking one night, face planted in a present "peeking" another night, He was hanging in the big wreath in the big room the last night. The girls found him face planted in the window looking for them when they had spent the nights at Grandma Gingers.  Beaker helps them really get into Christmas. They wrote Santa a letter and Beaker delivered it the first week he was here.  He is a great reminder to help the kids keep on task.  I am so glad I started this. The kids adore Beaker!   Olivia is just on the verge of not believing anymore. This really could be our last year with her "believing" and I glad that Beaker Floppy-Feet our Family Elf was well established before she doesn't believe anymore.

Here are the girls leaving Beaker with Santa's cookies on Christmas Eve. Santa left a letter for the girls in response to their previous one to find Christmas morning.  It  can be a lot of work to remember to move Beaker and find a new thing for him to be doing, but I LOVE this family tradition!
