Family Camping trip to Montana

We went camping with the Nielsen Clan along the Wise River area in Montana. We had a great time here and fell in love the area. It was stunning!  We had tons of rain our first night, but luckily... we were the only ones there. The rest of the Clan did not show up until day number two just after the rain.
The girls eating breakfast in the rain... gotta love the nutella face.
The area was stunning! My heart fell in love with this old tree... it had the coolest moss growing on it. I was in awe of it!

A view of the river below our camp spot.

We went digging for crystals one day with the family. It was so much fun! We found lots of interesting rocks and crystals. We brought a whole bucket full home.

My girls loved these silly rocks and Jorja was begging me to take a picture of her on all of them.

On our hike to an old ghost town, there were these huge boulders the kids had way too much fun climbing up on.
Our last day we went up to this ghost town from an old silver mine. It was really interesting to see how they lived daily lives in the town. I am so glad we hiked up to see it!

Tons and tons of old food cans just thrown out the back door. Along side a map of the area.

This was a bridge connecting the town to the silver mine.

The drive down from the ghost town... beautiful!

Our drive home. The kids were seriously pooped out after spending such a fun filled weekend with the cousins.

Thanks to the Nielsen Clan for a great weekend! Looking forward to it again next year!
