Our Disneyland Adventure

Part One: The Drive to California

It was nerve racking to get us packed up and going but...after a long night of work and not enough sleep we finally made it out of town last Friday afternoon headed for Las Vegas. We stayed in Vegas Friday night before driving the second leg of the trip to California on Saturday. We stopped three times before getting to Vegas. Our first stop was at a gas station in Nephi. Olivia and I giggling up a storm when we went to dry our hands in the restroom. They had these super sonic blowers that Jaye was scared of.

If you all need a good giggle, I recommend the Chevron just off of Main street in Nephi.

We eventually made it to St George for dinner. Blake and Lindz treated us all to a very yummy dinner at Olive Garden. The kids were very happy to be out of the car and running around before eating. It was a nice respite before heading back on the road to Vegas. The kids did a great job with all the time spent in the car. Jaye even slept most of the way(keeping mom and dad up most of the night)!

In Vegas we were pleasantly surprised to have our room upgraded to Suits (Thank to Hotwire.com they were only $59). We had two giant rooms with a king size bed which the girls piled into with us in the morning.

I was very happy to leave Vegas. It's not my kind of town.
Only in Vegas would you see a sign like this in your bathroom...

On Saturday we took a long break from driving to go shopping at the outlet mall in Barstow. I got some super cute new shirts and found some skinny jeans for Olivia. We all enjoyed our time there before piling back into the car.

We had a good stop in Barstow. Apparently we liked it so much we had to go back. Lindz left her glasses on the table in Dennys.

Here is all of us waiting for our dinner at the Barstow Denny's.

We did eventually make it to Anaheim,CA. Olivia was very excited to see that our hotel looked like a Castle. We had two rooms that connected and the kids were very happy to be running between them. We all crashed to get up bright and early to make it to the parks on Sunday.

Stay tuned for part two of our adventure... California Adventures!

It already sounds like so much fun and you haven't even gotten to the Disney part! I'm with you on Vegas though, we stopped there on our way to Phoenix a few weeks ago and I too was glad to be on our way the next day! Your girls are so cute too!
